OBJECTIVE: Reinforce the Asia Pacific Kemin Nutrisurance R&D team by supporting, developing, and executing research protocols with palatants in synergy with antioxidants, antimicrobials, and functional ingredients, as well as scientific data analysis, research reports and results presentation. EDUCATION: Minimum advanced university degree (MS or Ph.D.) with a specialization in a technical field such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Animal Science, Food Science or Nutrition; EXPERIENCES/TRAINING: 1.Advanced knowledge in office package; knowledge of HACCP and GMP; 2.Experience and knowledge in experimental design, statistical analysis of data, lectures, laboratory. 3.Desirable experience in relevant commercial field such as pet nutrition, animal nutrition or production. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Be the bridge between Global R&D Palatants and regional APAC R&D/Customer Facing Team 2.Support PIP projects for the South American market of Palatants, Antioxidants and New Business 3.Development. This includes developing and executing research project protocols to address key project- specific issues with internal and external R&D groups. 4.Lead and manage a technical development project team and interact with various departments (US Production team, local China tolling, IPRA, Quality, R&D, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain) to bring a product to market. 4.Develop solutions for specific customer preservation needs for applications in the fields of Rendering and Pet Food, together with the local sales team and technical service. 5.Educate Asian customers and customer facing team on PAL by training and technical support (up to 25% at the start, first 6 months). 6.Represent Kemin interests at regional professional meetings and conferences. 7.Propose and develop a new and revised product formulation to solve the challenges of preserving pet food ingredients, including synthetic antioxidants, natural antioxidants, and antimicrobial products (ie, region- specific, cost-effective formulations). 8.Identify and evaluate new ingredients used in pet food product formulations. This may include new proteins, new preservatives or new ingredients for the palatability agents. 9.Interface with existing and potential customers and identify new product opportunities 10.Modify existing palatants products to align with the needs of regional markets 11.Organize and communicate the results of palatability tests performed at a regional kennel.
